We help businesses organize their financial information before they approach lenders. Our work includes bookkeeping cleanup, tax-standing review, cash-flow analysis, forecasting, and preparation of a clear lender presentation - so your conversations start from a stronger position.
When a business client comes to a lender, the quality of their financial information matters. We help clients organize that information clearly, honestly, and completely - before the conversation begins.
"A lender's job is to evaluate credit risk. Our job is to make sure the financial information they need is accurate, complete, and clearly presented."
We are not a mortgage broker, lending intermediary, or credit arranger. We work on the financial side only - organizing records, cleaning up bookkeeping, preparing forecasts, and helping clients understand their own numbers before they sit across the table from a lender.
When a client's financials are disorganized, incomplete, or hard to follow, it slows down every step of the lending process and creates uncertainty for everyone involved. We remove that uncertainty before the conversation starts.
Organized before the first meeting
We review financial readiness and identify gaps before any lender introduction - so your time isn't spent on preventable back-and-forth.
CRA good standing confirmed
We review CRA standing, outstanding balances, and HST accounts so there are no surprises during due diligence.
Honest numbers, clearly presented
We do not inflate projections or window-dress financials. Accurate, well-organized information builds lender confidence and speeds up approvals.
Fill in the form below and we will follow up within one business day to discuss whether and how we can help prepare your client for a productive lending conversation.
30 minutes to discuss the financial preparation standards you look for and whether our clients would meet them. No pitch - just a direct conversation.
We prepare Canadian businesses for lender and investor conversations - cleaning up books, building financial models, preparing forecasts, and assembling the complete financial package that gets deals done.
Most businesses are turned down not because the business isn't viable - but because the financial picture isn't clear. We fix that. From initial cleanup through final presentation, we build the financial package a lender or investor actually needs to say yes.
"Most businesses don't know what a lender actually needs - until the application is declined. We make sure you know before the conversation starts."
Our free preliminary capital-readiness review gives business owners an honest picture of where they stand - what's in order, what's missing, and what needs to be resolved before approaching a lender or investor.
The review identifies what financial records appear clean and ready, where gaps or inconsistencies exist, what CRA or compliance issues may need attention, and whether additional cleanup or preparation is likely required before a lender conversation will be productive.
No financial documents are required at this stage. We complete the review within 24 hours of your intake form.
What's organized and ready
We identify which financial records are clean, current, and presentable to a lender or investor.
What's missing or incomplete
We flag gaps in financial records, tax filings, or documentation that a lender will require before proceeding.
What needs to be resolved first
Outstanding CRA balances, disorganized books, or missing statements - identified and prioritized before you approach a lender.
An honest readiness assessment
A clear answer on whether your business is ready for a funding conversation now, or what preparation work comes first.
Submit the form below and we will complete your preliminary capital-readiness review within 24 hours. No sensitive financial documents are required at this stage.
30 minutes to assess where your business stands financially and what it would take to get lender-ready. No commitment required.
Full detail on scope, deliverables, regulatory requirements, required forms, and what to expect from each engagement. No fine print surprises.
Clean, accurate financial records every month. Timely management accounts and statements that give you a reliable picture of the business, not a surprise at year-end.
All bookkeeping is performed in accordance with the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) as issued by the Accounting Standards Board (AcSB), or IFRS for applicable clients. Financial records are maintained in a manner consistent with the Income Tax Act's record-keeping requirements (Section 230), which requires businesses to keep records for a minimum of six years from the end of the tax year they relate to.
Client responsibility: Clients are required to provide all source documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements) by the 5th business day of the following month. Delays in document submission will result in delays to monthly reporting.
Accurate, on-time filing for personal and corporate returns. T1s, T2s, family returns for business owners, prior-year catch-up filings, and CRA correspondence - handled completely.
Tax preparation and filing services in Canada are governed by the Income Tax Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. 1 (5th Supp.)). We work with licensed accountants authorized to prepare and file returns and to represent clients before the Canada Revenue Agency.
To act as your authorized representative with the CRA, we require a signed authorization form (T1013 for individuals, RC59 for corporations). All tax positions taken in returns are supported by the Income Tax Act, CRA administrative positions, or documented professional judgement.
GST/HST/PST returns prepared and filed on time, every period. We track filing periods, review input tax credits, and handle catch-up or correction of overdue filings.
GST/HST is governed by the Excise Tax Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. E-15). Businesses with annual taxable supplies exceeding $30,000 are required to register for GST/HST. Filing frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annual) is determined by CRA based on annual taxable revenue. Late-filed returns attract penalties and interest.
PST requirements vary by province. In Ontario, there is no separate PST - HST applies. In provinces such as British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, PST is administered provincially and separate registration and filing obligations apply.
Note: If you have unfiled GST/HST returns, do not wait. Penalties compound and CRA may assess an estimated amount on your behalf. We handle catch-up filings and can advise on voluntary disclosure where appropriate.
Full payroll processing and contractor management - from remittances and T4 preparation to contractor invoice tracking and T4A filing, handled accurately and on time.
Payroll processing in Canada must comply with the Canada Pension Plan Act, the Employment Insurance Act, and applicable provincial employment standards legislation. We process remittances in accordance with CRA requirements and file T4 and T4A information returns annually by the February 28 deadline.
Contractor classification (employee vs. independent contractor) carries regulatory and tax implications. Where there is ambiguity, we will flag this for review before onboarding a worker under contractor arrangements.
Note: Payroll remittances are due on a schedule set by CRA based on your average monthly withholding. Late remittances attract penalties and interest. We will advise you of your remittance schedule and deadlines as part of onboarding.
We help businesses determine whether they are financially ready for funding, clean up their records, prepare lender packages, and support the process through to closing.
We begin with a preliminary review to assess the current state of the business's financial records, tax standing, and overall readiness to approach a lender. From there, we identify the gaps, prioritize the cleanup or preparation work required, and coordinate the information as the lender process moves forward.
We are not mortgage brokers, credit arrangers, or lending intermediaries. Our role is entirely on the financial preparation side. We do not arrange credit, negotiate loan terms, or act as intermediaries between borrowers and lenders.
Scope: Funding preparation services are advisory and operational in nature. We prepare financial information and coordinate documentation. Lending decisions are made exclusively by the lender. We do not guarantee funding outcomes, represent lenders, or provide mortgage brokerage services.
We turn your financial data into clear, actionable information. Monthly and quarterly reporting, KPI dashboards, revenue and expense analysis, financial forecasts, and scenario planning - so you can make confident decisions.
Financial analysis services are typically built on top of clean bookkeeping. If your records need catch-up or cleanup first, we handle that under our bookkeeping service before beginning the reporting and analysis layer. Deliverables are agreed in advance and included in your engagement letter.
Note: Want to understand what financial reporting and analysis would look like for your business? Book a free 30-minute discovery call and we will walk through your current financial picture and what a reporting setup would involve. Schedule a Discovery Call
Senior financial leadership embedded in your business on a part-time basis. We act as your CFO without the full-time salary - managing cash flow, supporting business decisions, and participating in your planning meetings.
CFO advisory is not a regulated activity under provincial securities law in Canada, provided the advisor does not provide advice on specific securities or act as a portfolio manager. We work with professionally designated advisors who are bound by a strict code of professional conduct, including requirements around independence, objectivity, confidentiality, and competence.
All engagements are governed by a written Engagement Letter that sets out scope, fees, confidentiality obligations, and limitations of liability in accordance with applicable professional standards.
Note: CFO services are advisory in nature and do not constitute the preparation of audited financial statements. Where audited statements are required by lenders, regulators, or investors, we will coordinate with a licensed public accounting firm on your behalf.
Hourly professional input on business decisions, financial questions, project assessments, and tax matters. Conversational - no deliverables or reports. A clear, direct answer from a professional who understands your situation and business.
Consulting is billed at an hourly rate and is conversational in nature. Sessions may be conducted by phone, video, or in person. We provide professional input, perspective, and guidance - not a written report, analysis, filing, or deliverable.
Any work that goes beyond discussion - such as preparing a forecast, filing a return, building a financial model, or cleaning up bookkeeping - is scoped and billed separately under the appropriate service. We will clearly tell you when a question requires additional work.
Scope: Consulting opinions are based on information provided by the client during the session. We do not provide legal advice. Where a question requires legal review - such as a contract, shareholder agreement, or regulatory matter - we will refer you to qualified legal counsel.
The information on this page describes our services in general terms and is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, tax, or accounting advice. Our legal partners handle incorporation, shareholder agreements, business structuring, and tax-driven legal planning. When your accountant and lawyer work together from the start, nothing falls through the cracks between financial and legal decisions.
Our financial advisor partners specialize in investment planning, retirement strategy, and wealth structuring for business owners. They work alongside your accountant to ensure your personal and corporate finances move in the same direction - maximizing what you keep after tax.
"Most accounting firms serve everyone. That means they understand no one particularly well."
We focus on two industries by design: lending institutions and healthcare practices. Both face regulatory complexity, margin pressure, and compliance obligations that generic accountants routinely miss.
For businesses approaching lenders, that means organized books, clean tax standing, and a financial package a lender can actually review. For healthcare practices, it means understanding physician incorporation, HST on medical services, and the financial picture lenders expect to see. We know these industries cold.
We don't take every client. We work in two industries and we know them inside out. You are not a file number here.
Tax planning happens in March, not April. We flag issues before they become problems and surface opportunities before they close.
We explain every decision. If you don't understand the advice, it isn't doing its job. No jargon without a translation.
